Default anyone have a deep dimensions tank

i am thinking of getting on of these tanks after my 150 leaked. i love the 250. they are 36" deep and 27"tall. they come in 3, 4, 5, and 6 foot lenths. i have only seen one in person and it was a 4 foot long one and i love the depth of them. if anyone has one and has some good pics i would love to see them.

I love a deep tank, even though mine is not. They add a lot of dimension to a tank and give the appearance of being a real reef.

If I was going to do a large tank depth tank like that though I would get one that is an end type unit. One where the depth of the tank is against the wall and the tank itself protrudes out into a room. That way you really get to enjoy the depth of it and can look at the tank from both sides. Then enjoy the feeling of really having the appearance of a 3D reef.

When I have the funds to do so. I was going to set up an aggressive tank like this as a room divider to a long basement that I have. Then I was going to put sharks, eels, lions, and other assorted predatory fish in there.

No doubt in my mind, my next tank is gonna be a Marineland DD 300. Love those dimensions.

Nathan,

I just started a thread regarding my 450 gal display. It's 4' deep and I was inspired by Steve Weast original 500 tank in Ultimate Marine Aquariums by Mike Paletta. I want to do a "canyon effect," unlike the typical rock wall.

I'll try to post more pic's as soon as I can.

Jim

p.s.

I think a peninsula would work great for your project !
