Default How much flow

Looking for recommendation of flow rate for a 210gal reef ( 72" x 24" x 30"). I would like to house SPS and LPS?

Generally you can have anywhere from 10x to 20x turnover in your tank, some people have it all the way up to 55x turnover. It just depends if you have a deep sand bed, sand, or are barebottom and where you place your pumps.

hope this helps!

Hello
Two TUNZE 6060 streams would work great in a 6 ft tank one a each end with a multi controller to pluse the two pumps. These have a turn over of 1585 Gallons per hour per unit so you would have no problems with dead spots and on the controller you can adjust the power to each pump too
Hope this helps you out
Ollie

I have two Tunze 6100 on each end with a Tunze Wavebox. Works like a charm!

MORE FLOW usually means better coral health so more could never hurt. Although i hope you dont have clowns, they tend to be bad swimmers

most fish can take the high flow becasue the currents in the ocean are pretty strong.

if you want SPS go with at least 25-30x turnover...

The tunze 6060's cant be run on a controller, the 6100's can though..

I have a 6060 in my 90, they are NICE !!!

I also have 52x turnover in my 90 which is full blown mixed reef

Sometimes Flow rate is only second important to flow direction and it also depends on the specific species of SPS you would like to keep.
