QT is setup already, so i bought 6 large yellow tangs, 1 x-large powder blue, 1 large desjardini from a LFS. prior 2 months ago i had prepaid for them in full and was kind enough to take good care of them for me. damsels are being completely removed from the tank. all of my mexican snails have been completely removed also.

Good choice on removing the mexican snails and damelse !!

It must have been a nightmare trying to get the damsels out!!! Did you drug them or use explosive charges???

i didn't feed them for few days then set a trap for another couple days since those guys are smart with pvc plumb into trap i added mysis shrimp.

I hope you havent started to stock with h20 or fish yet b/c i have a good idea for you.Since the back of tanks are always hard to make look nice, you should loook into pond foam. You spray it on and it sort of looks like a live rock cave. Check this link Tank of the Month - June 2007 - Reefkeeping.com

thanks, but i am not a big fan of spray on foam. it looks great though and all live rocks and sand been added for two weeks now.

i showed my dad the tank he said dont u even think about it. since i have enough space beneath my stairs for a 1000g reef and it can go in teh wall also.

thank you all for your kind comments,
ok here are some more updates, finally after so many days finished the chiller and rest of the plumbing.
sheetrock was cutout then bulks were installed. ball and gates valves were used throughtout the plumbing for fine tuning.

intake and outlet for chiller with bulks



here's the Fish Room along with 100gal of plumbing



refugium is the last set of plumbing needed to be done after that i'm a happy camper

dfurbee - after work, sunday and whenever i get a chance. i probably took about 2.5 months total to do this and rest was taking a break or going vacation.

alright, im so excited, just looking at your entire etup and how you have a room dedicated to the tank makes me want to work really hard for 15 years!

thanks e_baer, i turn my garage (30x20) into the fish room and still have a lot of room leftover to pack my car but choose not to and the entire setup is built against the wall. when planing the build i didn't want anything to be inside the house so inwall was the only route to having a large display without taking so much room inside with stand and canopy. second it was so much easier to do work in the garage rather then inside the house.
