that is a really good idea to use the garage! put a little insulation around the walls, keep the dor shut, and you have yourself a nice fosh room! brilliant!

blind1993 - thanks, the garage is completely insulated which includes spray on foam insulation roof line, fiberglass insulation for ceilings and walls except for my garage door, the kenmore 12,000btu window unit stays on 24hrs day keeping the fish room at 75 deg. all 6 sequence pumps along with lighting, skimmer pumps and etc. doesnt produced that much heat since it all energy savers. still here

clown shrimp - thanks, but one step at a time. i'm in car audio & video
fish list for now
1 xlarge yellow tang
1 med powder brown tang
4 med barlett anthias
3 med allardi clown
2 med lawnmover blenny
2 med mandarin green goby
8 small yellow belly regal tang

thats fine anytime you're in town, the setup have been running smooth since june 8 when all rocks and sand was added. going through some light algae stages now but should be gone soon. MH been on 10hrs daily which could cause the small amount of algae under the lighted areas. i will make another fish order couple of weeks.

the city is about 60% restore, but all downtown, french market and uptown area are back to normal. the affected area are still bang up where little work have been done. i had total 7' of water in my shop which took me about 1 month to completely removed all the debris and rebuild it all back up with the help of 2 brother-in-laws.

This was much better to support than the regular stakes sold at HD, also foam expansion joint boards will be used along the back wall and step. next brick will be spreaded out evenly at the bottom to raise wire mesh up in place than rebar will be place above the mesh which will be tied together to make it more durable since generator and chiller will add about 1500 lbs. slope is from back to front making sure so no puddles are visible and of course mosquito heaven too. slab area is 12'L x 38"W and approximately 6"-7" of concrete will be poured using concrete mixer which holds about 5 80lbs bag.
all this money for reef and has a window shaker air conditioner for himself.

the window unit is just for the fish room that keep the garage temp at 75deg all day long and runs 24hrs a day kenmore 12,000btu which is rated to cool 1400sq and my garage is only 600sq. i wanted the fish room to have its own cooling rather then having to tied into main house unit.

Just poking fun and finding my way to express my jealousy, I saw that in a later post that it was just for the garage, sweet setup.

This is going to sound stupid, but have you ever read the manual. I couldnt take a decent picture of anything in my tank with my camera. Then I looked through the manual and it had a bunch of things that really helped. Now I can take much better pictures.

they are still in QT and getting bigger everyday with feeding 4 times daily makes them so fat. i will keep them in there for a long time before making to display at least 6 months. different diets with selcon added to their foods daily. i started out with 10 but 2 had past away.

Because it's not hurting them and the longer they stay in there the less problems are going to make it to his main tank.
