About time you bought one lol...seems like a good size man, probably house yourself a couple small reef sharks and have a reef too! I suggested 200-300 so 250 is smack dab in the middle and it shouldn't be too hard to maintain either

ya thats what i thought i like the size i just want the store to deliver it faster
i might get a shark or turn it into a full on reef ill have to decide sooner or later

There's a link about a guy who had a reef/shark tank but it cracked because it was an 1/8 of an inch off line on the corner of his tank...it was 210 gallons...told ya when you saw the tank you would just know which size fits ya

No prob...this hobby gets stressful at times. I think perhaps you should've done a little research before and called around and looked in the papers...1500$ seems alot for a 250 gallon tank.

is the 29 gallon your biggest?

Yeah the 29 is my main..it's my first tank and I'm only 16 so

ya i mean when i was 16 there wasnt anything like we have now the biggest tank in fish stores was like 100 gallons

Well I'm so depressed now lol...cause this place called World of Pets used to have amazing fish and stingrays to buy and a huge display with sharks and everything and they closed up right when I was wanting to start the hobby...but I got my 29 gal with stand and live rock for under 500$ so I'm happy

ya i mean its kinda weird because we were tight in high school and then he went to smu and i went to msu and then i just happend to walk in his store not knowing he owned it and ive never bought anything from anywhere else (its been 12 years)

No it was closed the first day I went around even thinking about SW tanks...just because the guy in Petland is nice and i'm young so he helps me out lol

ya i think that too but if you think about it what would your fish feel like in a house fire
your stand would burn and 250 gallons of water and thousands of dollars in fish and corals would come crashing down

i think u paid way tank way too much for that tank unless it was maid by oceanic i work in a fish store and we have a 210 there for 1500 and thats stand lights and tank with inclosed canopy u should have asked for there best price and looked around
