Default Is $899.99 to much to pay for a 210 gallon with overflows?

Im located in Beckley WV. Just wondering if that price is a good one. Thanks in advance

This price is for the tank only nothing else. However it is brand new

Hm...that seems steep, but I don't know how high prices are for the bigger thanks. If that is only the tank, that seems a little weird to me

If you are still looking for a large tank and your only in WV, there is a place here in Baltimore, MD that does large tanks for way cheaper than that brand new. 180 gallon tank is about $300 and stand $250, so I'm sure that a 210 w/ overflows shouldn't be more than $400 something and maybe another $300 for the stand.

In WI & MN, new 210 gal AGA RR tanks usually run $750+ If you want to get a used tank, 210 gal tanks are usually tough to find, but 180 gal tanks are usually much easier to find and you should be able to get them for about half the cost a new tank, if not less.

I'd stay away from glasscages.com

Just google previous experiences from them.

They have horrible customer service and there work is sorta-sloppy.

Stick with AGA/Oceanic, they have warranty's at least.

Fwiw: I paid about $800 for my AGA 210 Megaflow with standard wood stand. (I got it on special)

so does glass cages. i dont have any personal experience but some people say is bad some dont... and there work is not sloppy just alot of silicone, but it can be cleaned up....

people probably say they have bad customer service cuz there is a lot of a** holes out there that think they can treat people how they want and call with an attitude so they get an attitude back

I would also check your local paper and LFS. We got our tank via a referral from a local store. Ended up getting a steal...90 gallon glass tank, oak stand, sump, skimmer (which was junk), magdrive, MJs, Live Rock, Live Sand...and much more for only $400. This stuff was less than a year old!

I don't like to talk money, but my point is that there are tons of deals out there and most people are desperate to sell when they decide to. The people who sold us our setup were moving out of state and didn't want to deal with the hassle of moving the beast.

I too am a huge fan of Craig's List (for everything, really)!

Good luck!

Sounds like sloppy would be the correct term if it needs to be cleaned up. For that kind of money it shouldn't need to be cleaned up.

As for the A**hole comment, it sounds to me that you are happy with your tank so the other people, not happy, must be to blame. Is it that only a**holes buy glassgages, while non a**holes buy other tanks? I doubt that. The a**hole mix is probably evenly spread out. If there are a lot of complaints, I'd probably stay clear.

I really don't mean to be argumentative, but those statements didn't sit right with me. Sorry.

BTW, I got my tank at ReefsEdge in Fort Lauderdale, not Big Al's. They are a really nice couple too.

Michael

Easy everybody, this is suppose to be a positive information exchange and while everyone is entitled to their own opinions, we still must respect each other. Arguing is not needed, debating on the other hand brings facts to support opinions, so let's debate instead

Hi, I got my 220 gallon for 350 on Ebay and just had to pick it up. It came with everything that the guy had to run it with Stingrays. Just letting you know! Hope this helps.

If its just the tank, yes, way too much.

240 Long 96 x 24 x 25 Tall $590

plus $150 for the 2 overflows.

I must live in the wrong town. When I was going to replace my 110 the best price I could get from lfs was 700 and that was with 1 overflow.
