The front glass's bottom seam blew out letting the tank trickle out all the water...

I'm not sure excactly who's fault, the sellers or mine.

I had the tank leveld 100% so I know that wasnt the issue.

It held water for 5 days then I woke up 1 morning to my tunze 6100 alarms going off because they had run dry.

All I know is I was extremely pissed off, I lost corals and fish.

I still have my big blue hippo and my loppezzi tang, along with my cleaner wrasse, my neon goby and my cinnamon clown, the rest are in peace now

No pics of the new tank yet, Its in storeage for the meantime as we hunt for yet a new apartment again....

I am looking very forward to gettin back into a reef tank ASAP though.

all I have is a lil 40 breeder that looks like its been running for 2-3 years, lol

lol, that is hillarious. Man that is so bizzare that it blew out. Gives me reason to hate bow tanks even more. The new tank you are picking up, is it a bow too or not?

Keith that's terrible about the blow out...I pray that when my tank is up nothing like that happens...but I suppose if it happened to you it could happen to any of us ad: In any event I hope your new tank is better than ever and I hope you find a new apartment soon.

Are there other reasons? I've been looking at them contemplating getting one for my perch. If they are crappy tanks I don't want to.

there is always a posotive side to everything. your 175 blew out, so now you get an even bigger 210!

I can only imagine the mess you had to clean up. the other day i leaked 6 gallons durring a power outage. i can only imagine 175.....

No more bow fronts for me Ryan, well unless I set my 90 back up someday, its awful lonely in storage

Pictures will come, I will do a nice a-z build thread on it

Turn over will be a 1200 gph Iwaki pump at the sump, 2 x 6100 and 2 x 6000 Tunze Streams on the 7095 Multi Controller So the turnover will be UP there for sure.

The only fish that survived were my big blue hippo tang (thank you lord) my lopezzi blue spot tang, cleaner wrasse, neon goby, and cinnamon clown. The rest of my tangs perished from what I think was the shock of a couple moves and temp swings from the blow out

I traded a ton of coral in for credit and used that towards my new 210. It really helped out alot. I saved my favorite softy corals, my clams are on hold at my friends store, my hammer corals, open brain and bam bam orange zoo's.

I'm still very bummed out from what happened, but I guess it happened for a reason, I got a new 210 now and being that big blue lived, I will stay in the hobby and do it even better this time

Glad your keeping a positive attitude Krazy....I don't know how much a Hippo Tang costs but sometimes that doesn't matter...it's all about caring for the animal.
