Default where is everyone getting thease cheap tanks?

hi,, i have been seeing posts all over with people saying they got huge (180-600 gal.) reefready tanks brand new for a meer one -3 thousand dollars,,i have never heard of such a thing,,at my local shops you would pay 3-4 thousand just for a non reef ready 180 gallon tank. are thease online purchases?

You LFS is WAY over priced. If you look on craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums you will be able to find new and used fish tanks for sale. Also, do a Google search for tanks and you will get a bunch of listings. My lfs is also over priced so I dont usually get anything there.

Also--if you use Ebay at all. I got my 220 there for $350. Could've gotten it for $250, but didn't want to lose it to a very high price. So, "bought it now" for 350.

You should be able to find a LFS (or not-so LFS) that would sell a new 180-220 gal RR tank for around $800-$1000. Large used tanks are all over the place if you are patient and want to go that route.

A reef ready 180 for 3k should come with a sump,lights and a skimmer lol.

Someone locally here is selling a very very nice 75 gallon reef tank for $1200 with everything.......people move long distances and just dont want too deal with the move.

I wish dude was selling that tank when I started mine
