Icon5 Need Light Strip

I am having a 265 gallon tank delivered tomorrow and am planning on starting my first reef tank. The tank is 84 inches long. The longest MH light strips I see are only 72 inches long. Does anyone know if fixtures are made 84 long? Are there any options other than having to suspend a light from the ceiling?

Please help!!

you could have two of the same fixture, for example, on a 55g if there werent one 48 long, you could get two 24" long.

You could also retrofit lights into the canopy if it has one.
Edit: scratch that, I missed that it was MH's and I believe they need to be a certain height above the tank.

You're right Matt. You could retrokit one into a canopy, as long as the canopy is tall enough. The other option would be like pleco answered and get two different sizes of units, a 3' and a 4' unit. The only problem with that is that usually you won't be able to find units that have the MH bulbs at the correct location so that all the bulbs would be spaced evenly across the tank. With MH, if the bulbs aren't spaced evenly, or at least close to evenly, you'll see that some areas are brighter than others, which may or may not be acceptable to you.
