Default Going BIGGER!

Ok,

Time for a new tank. The plans are for a 480gallon Fish/Reef tank. We currently have a 6" French Angel, 5" Koran, 8" Majestic, 5" Blue Face, and 3" Blue angel. The tank is being desiged to house these fish as the main focus. With the the goal to add a final Pomacanthus Arcuatus (Grey Anglel) and Emperor. The Existing Angels are co-existing nicely for about eight months so far. The Tank dimensions are 96"(long)x36"(high)x30" (wide). Does this sound like an appropriate width for the target Fish in the long term?

The Tank has now been refined down to 96x36x36. Looks like this it the keeper. Stand in production now. Need input on Filtration and lighting.

Yahoooooooo! Woot! Woot!

What size sump are you considering?

I am not that familiar with these fish so will not comment on them specifically with regards to your needs. Are you sure they are reef safe?

No the fish are not entirely "Reef Safe" the main fish are large angels. So far they have stayed clear of Leathers, Mushroom anemone's. That is it. I have seen larger aquariums that have had sps in with them. However, until I have the big tank fully aclimated im not chancing it.

The plan so far sump wise is a 200 gallon main sump including refugium, a second stage xenia refugium (something new to try) and a 40 gallon surge tank. The size of the sump is dependent on the final height of the stand, between 28 and 32 inches... have not decided yet.
