Default Nativevaman

Some of you may have noticed that one of yours is MIA.

NATIVEVAMAN had a small stroke back in February. Had to have both of his carotids opened up in April. He suffered another stroke after surgery. I do not know a lot of details. But I do know that he is paralyzed on his left side. I will be keeping up with his girlfriend as much as possible.

Keep him in your thoughts.

I told his girlfriend that I will call her in a couple of weeks to see how everyone is holding up and to see if there has been any progress. I will ask if there is anyway things can be sent then. I am gathering as many questions as I can before then so that I can give better informed updates.

OK, well I had a pleasant surprise today. I got a quick email from NATIVE. He is polishing his typing skills, but said that he has relearned to walk.
Ryan, I did ask for an address for sending flowers. I am sure Cathy will set me up when she finds a couple of free minutes.
I have sent all of your sentiments along!

I will be in touch.

Update:
I had a nice chat with NATIVE on the phone today. He is doing well with his walking, says steps are a challenge. Still needing some work on the left side. Has managed to dislocate a shoulder, so he has felt better. BUT overall, since the surgery, he is in good health. Thinking about trying to get disability and maybe finding a new job at Bass Pro.

I do not think he will do much posting on the fish sites for awhile. Says it takes him about 20 minutes to type 2 sentences. Still plenty of work to be done.

He sounds good, very upbeat, positive thinking mixed in with his usual stubborn "I am right" attitude.

Until next time....
