 HURRICANE is coming my way !!!! WHAT DO I DO ?!??!?!? HURRICANE is coming my way !!!! WHAT DO I DO ?!??!?!? they say its going to be a 4!!!!! so what do i do i dont want anything to die and i dont have a generator what about the water temperature ?? !!!
__________________ 40 gallon Reef with a 20 gallon high sump- One Yellow Wrasse, 2 Chromis, One Scooter Blenny, 5 Hermits, 3 Snails, 2 red foot snails, one Sand Sifting Tiger Starfish, and Corals- one frogs spawn coral, one Green striped and purple mushroom rock, one pink/tan mushroom frag, one hybrid mushroom rock, one Red mushroom, 2 differnt types of green star polyps, Two Cynarina corals, , one Fox coarl, one button polyp rock , one yellow scroll coral, one Big Orange Montipora capricornis, 13 Ricordea Mushrooms, One green Yuma, Two Blue Maxima clams , One Big Yellow Trumpet Coral, a Cabbage Leather Frag, Red Sea xiena (purple), Tan Xiena, one pink birds nest, one loco lobo leather coral, one Blastomussa Merletti, and one red lobo brain coral. Soon to hook up my CA reactor.  |

| Re: HURRICANE is coming my way !!!! WHAT DO I DO ?!??!?!? QUICK HIDE UNDER THE BED!!! Just kidding bud, had to throw that out there. With the little time you have I see only a couple fo solutions. You could go buy a generator. This would probably be the best solution. However, they are quite expensive. Or you could go get yourself a UPS system for a computer. This would only support essental items mostly likely your heater and maybe circluation pump as well. Another good Idea is to run down to radio shack and get a 12V converter for your vehicle. This would convert everything into a stand 110, so as long as you have gasoline you can power stuff. I would buy acouple of extra fuses for the converter. If the power goes. Then plug stuff into it in the order of there importance until you blow a fuze. Unplug the last thing and replace the fuse. Hope this helps and be safe! |

| Re: HURRICANE is coming my way !!!! WHAT DO I DO ?!??!?!? those ups things only lasted one hour with my heater and i got an 80$ one and retunred it so the generaters to expensive (am 16) and the 12 V thing is impossible cause my room is next to a porch so my car cant get real near ? |

| Re: HURRICANE is coming my way !!!! WHAT DO I DO ?!??!?!? Your car cannot but take the battery out of the car and put it by your window. You could also go a battery powered pump from the LFS. If you are worried about the tank getting too cold, wrap it in some blankets.
