I am not sure if this is Pennsylvania statute or an Insurance Liability issue either way please tell me whats the point. It's not so we dont take beer out because they do it to non alcoholic beverages as well. We are all treated like Children!

Going back to what Ed Said! LOL

Throwing in my 2 cents. Blame the lawyers - seriously people will try to make a buck off anyone else, and there are lawyers who will take anything to court.
There is a serious lack of personal responsibility in this country. Someone slips and falls after having a few too many drinks and sues the facility for having 'unsafe conditions'. If your employer doesn't protect you from hazardous conditions, asbestos, cigarette smoke - you can sue for hostile work environment. Your kid gets teased at school and you can sue the district for harassment..... The government has stepped in (sometimes good sometimes bad) to try to protect both people and business entities from the epidemic of general stupidity that is running rampant.
McDonalds has been sued for serving too hot of coffee in the drive through - sounds stupid right, well the coffee caused 3rd degree burns, you dont expect to be served hazardous coffee - so reasonable law suit. Then McD's was sued for causing obesity - WTF!!!- they aren't advertising themselves as a weight loss program - use some common sense and take responsibility for your own bad habilts.
The solution - ban stupidity, demand a revival of common sense, force people to take responsibility for their own actions and get rid of (most of ) the lawyers!!!
Hey only one cup of coffee and I've solved the worlds problems before noon!!!

Not to many years ago in Virginia you could buy beer and wine on sunday but not a comb or toothbrush. It was legal to beat your wife but not your dog.Sex outside of wedlock was not only imoral it was illegal. They are called blue laws and a few of them are still in force.

What we need in our court system is that the person that files the law suit needs to be held accountable if they loose the case. Think about it for a second. You can get a lawyer that will not charge anything to you if you loose the lawsuit so you can sue everyone for anything and not be out a single cent. So what do you really have to loose by suing someone? What we need is that if you sue someone and loose, you need to pay at least the judge time costs and a minimal fee to the defendant's attorney.

In civil cases (at least here) you have to pay court fees for trial time. Family law cases require 'trial fees' and court reporter fees. They aren't a lot, but it's something.
We definitely need the rule where the loser pays the winners court and attorney fees. The judge could determine how much based on the merits of the case. But that wont happen because there is a strong lobby against that idea (hmmm go figure!!!)

Believe it or not, in some counties is northern Texas, it is illegal to keep a pair of wire cutters in your back pocket.

Im not a smoker at all and there is nothing I hate more than walking through a poorly placed cloud of smoke, but I would say it almost seems unconstitutional to tell someone what Illinois is telling people. California has a no smoking indoors law, but as far as I know once you are outside its fair game.

I like Iowa's,

A kiss may not last any longer than 5 minutes

One-armed piano players must perform for free.

Haha Read Floridas about the elephant tied to a parking meter!!

Heres a good one from Ohio:

Section 2331.12
General Assembly: 100.
Bill Number: House Bill 1
Effective Date: 10-1-53

No person shall be arrested during a sitting of the senate or house of representatives, within the hall where such session is being held, or in any court of justice, during the sitting of such court, or on Sunday, or on the fourth day of July.

And another good one:
It is illegal to fish for whales on Sunday.
