| Re: Whistling.... My buddy GEEK that posts here once in a great while had a great looking tank but it crashed. Had a heater go bad. Lost everything...pretty sad. Hes got several tanks but full of stuff he sells now. Here is a pic of the tank before the crash...good argument for titanium heaters...  Last edited by jimw369; 04-12-2008 at 11:01 PM. |

| Re: Whistling.... The tank looks great! I am going to be moving in a few months and thought that I was going to have to sell my 55. Now, a few things have changed and Ill be able to keep it.

| Re: Whistling.... So the 55 gal survives again. Good! Hey! Since you are young student you would be proud of me getting my certificate From MACO a couple mos ago for Reef Microbiology. Was a good learn. I was supposed to be in water chemistry and marine husbandry but something got screwed up and I wound up in the Microbiology class. O well. Gonna do some more when the chance comes again. When available classes are given at Reefs.org if anyone is interested. Cost is $77.25 |

| Re: Whistling.... hmmm...microbio... I think I have to take that after bio 102. I heard its not too bad. I also heard that your eyes will get sore from looking in microscopes for long periods of time. Mine get sore and I only look in one at 15min period....max!.

| Re: Whistling.... 77.25, not bad at all, especially compared to if you were to go to a college for that class. I also realized I use commas and periods way too much!

| Re: Whistling.... Well Im sure its not a college level class. Geared towards the aquarist. Lot of terms and instead of hands on with a microscope it had pictures. All this pretty much at your own pace but if you wanted to partake in the group discussions you needed to keep up with the class. Wanted to take the other courses but like I said something screwed up and thats the way it goes. Enjoy school while you can and get the most possible out of it. As you get older with more and more responsibility (AKA baggage) It will be very hard to take advantage of things like more or better education. Something Id say Im sorry I missed looking back at it. I think thats why I like the salt so well. Its forced me to read for knowledge instead of entertainment. Its been good for me. |
