Default ?Flower Pot long Polyp Green Corals?

Does anyone much about flower pot polyps? Mainly what benefits they bring for your tank and what they waste? Or how they keep?

I have one that I "Rescued" from the LFS about 7 months ago, They siad it was dieing because it had a bald spot. seems like he goes through a cycle every couple of months where he doesen't open up all the way for a week or 2.

Flower pot or gonipora rarely lasts more than a year before dying. Many feel it shouldnt be harvested and put in our tanks. I have read that spot feeding is required to keep it going. Its too bad cause it is a beautiful coral. Watchout for the long stinger tentacles that can sting other corals as well.

Good luck and post a pic of it if you can.

Corals are the benefit. Corals are not part of the CUC.
