Default I Love Frogspawns

My frogspawns are without a doubt my favorite coral. If I could do my tank over, I think I would have nothing but frogspawns. Let's see your frogs and talk about keeping them. I have mine under T-5's.

Great looking corals. I had some that spread all over my tank until a freak snowstorm caused a loss of power for over a week & I lost everything. Kept mine in a 30 with 2 X 55 W PC.

Funny you should say this, I had my old 29 gallon wiped out from an ice storm here in Texas. Without power for 4 days, everything froze to death.

I gots' a generator now though!

Generator is on the "to buy" list. Insurance didn't cover any of the losses either.

Simply stated it means I use the basics in my reef. I do not use a sump or metal hylides. I have a cascade 1200 canister filter with chemi-pure in it, a bak pak protein skimmer, 1 power head, and a basic set of T-5 lights.

Thanks everyone, I actually moved them last night, When I got the bigger colony it was 5 heads, its now about 10 heads and growing, I'd say 6 months its doubled its-self, its a braching frogspwan Blind, the heads just expand so much you cant see any skeleton..

Frogspwan and hammer kinda look the same but they are different, the frogspawn as seen up in the picture has a round tip where the hammer has the same sorta look but the tips look like a small hammer instead of being round, I have hammer coral too, I'll see if I can dig up a picture of it so you see the difference...

Here is a pic of mine.

I noticed that this particular head has divided mouth(s) does that mean that it is about to divide? This particular piece already has 11 heads on it.

Thanks Rick and Ron. I am just happy that the corals are doing so well.
It is amazing how fast they are expanding and getting even more colorful.

On behalf of the Frogspawn, I thank you for the compliments

RC, some beautiful corals. I'm sorry but I gotta ask; what good is a generator when you're under 12 feet of water?
