I got a tongue coral about 4 months ago and find it hardy and easy to keep. It is photosynthetic, needing strong to medium light. It lays on the bottom, and does enjoy target feeding if you shut down the current for 30 minutes or so. I've counted about 12 mouth openings along its middle line. When brine is placed on the center line, those mouths open up and eagerly suck in the meaty food. If you feed it more, it grows more quickly. It is fun to feed.

Chuck,

I have 3 cleaner shrimp and they have been chased away from the corals with puffs of water from my turkey baster...
funny thing is that I think they have learned not to come around after chasing them away with blasts of air/water about 3 nights in a row, when they first started it.

HOWEVER, the hermit crabs and snails are dumber and they keep coming back for more...
I have gotten rid of just about all my hermit crabs for that reason.

For feeding LPS, I have been tempted to buy cyclopeeze, but it seems so expensive...? So I have a mix of my own, all chopped up fine including, clams, krill, brine, silversides, phtoplankton & zooplankton. They gobble it down real quick.
