No new phs. Had him stopped in his tracks for a bit since he had pushed a rock with candy canes on it against the glass. Took the candy cane out of the tank for aiptasia cleaning & he's on the move again!! Pushed himself against the front glass & is now moving along it.
Movies would be a bit tough since it takes hours for it to move a few inches.

As crazy as it sounds, I've read about this before. I'll take a look around and see if i can find the article. Supposedly they puff-up, lifting there skeleton off of the sand and slowly but surely move to more desirable real-estate. I have a metallic green that always seems to move closer to the glass no matter how many times i move him back (which is why i was initially looking for info on this).

Well my open brain isn't attached to a rock at all... the flesh connected to his skeleton, which simply sits on the sand. Perhaps you're mistaking his skeleton for a rock...?

I knew I'd find it... Here's some mention of the 'moving brain'

"This specimen requires being directly on the sand. It will puff up it's polyp to shift itself to better receive the light and flow. Failure to allow it to do this will result in a stressed coral"... article link below.

Aright, so what it sounds like, is it puffs itself up, and the puffyness acts like a sail, and the currents slowly but surely moves it. I knew they couldnt be like an anemone and move themselves!
