Default moon corals

hello, i was at my LFS an saw a totally awesome moon coral however they wouldnt sell it because they said it could be very toxic if not handled properly. So my question is, would a captive raised frag contain same toxicity as those found in the wild? thanks

Darkstar,
I would like to know what the LFS meant by toxic. I understand that the moon corals are aggressive at night extending their long, thin, sweeper feeding tenacles to find food. As long as you give them room to sweep and grow they should grow well and look beautiful. Perhaps the attendant knows that the sweeper tenacles pack quite a punch, so care must be taken with their placement, as a they could cause significant damage to other corals too close. Perhaps it grows to several yards, which would also be a problem in a tank compared to the wild.

well they way it was explained to me by lfs is that the coral can store quite a potent toxin that can be quite harmful if you had a cut or opening in your skin and handled the coral improperly...only thing i could find on the net was some reference that toxin could be stored in some wild moon corals based on thier diet...seems very odd to me
