chuck,
Congrats on your tank set up...Keep us posted.
Do you live close to the water in Florida?
Do people there harvest their own live rock, offshore, or are their laws prohibiting that?

Just curious...We went fishing about 100 miles off of tampa bay, someone pulled up live rock, thinking they landed a nice fish, and the crewmates said they had to throw it back...it had some real nice growth on it.

i dont think you can harvest your own rock here. but if you got your own rock and threw it in the ocean than returned 1or2 months later thanks to gpl. i dont see how anyone would care. i did watch something on tv once where they were harvesting rock off florida but it was done comercially. i see rock from the keys in stores but again this is done comercioally. it doesnt seem difficult if you wanted to do it yourself.

anyway, i am enjoying my tank very much. frogspawn is my favorite i just put it in. a few days ago i put in my live rock (the ultimite oxymorone) and moved may corals closer to the surface they love the light. frogspawn is opened up great along with everything else. i am going to make my own mix of food thanks for the ingredents list.

thanx, chuck in fla
