Thanks Jim,
Actually, the tang makes the picture nicer, but he was being bad when i took this...

After about two days of him picking at the orange cups to steal the food, I learned that I would have to feed the coral after the lights went out, with a flashlight...
to discourage him from bothering the coral.

A little more awkward to feed with a flashlight in one hand and a turkey baster in the other, but one of those crazy things we do for the love of nurturing our captive critters.

Another site on the sun coral...orange cup corals

http://www.saltcorner.com/sections/z.../Tcoccinea.htm

"Sunny" enjoys it on the bottom with good water flow...and food target fed with baster as stated in web site.

My favorite is Montipora capricornis. This is the quintessential reef coral with its wood mushroom like layering and graceful form. Also, it is a very easy and fast growing coral.

I like a lot of them but the Hammer is one of my favorites. If I can find the right one I might try and add a Branching Hammer some day. So many corals, so little room.

Yes, I like the sun coral also. I have mine in a cave and sometimes it comes out in the eve before dark. Heres a pic of a camelback shrimp next to it at night.

I usually feed it at night so the tang doesn't steel all the food.

Chuck rayburn,
If you do pick up some sun coral... be careful to not give it much light... It likes to be away from light, I guess the orange cups look like sun, so that may be why "sun coral" is the "nick name" I saw one in a huge lfs warehouse, deteriorate within one week from 8 tubes to 2 because they burned it out in bright light.

Jim,
SUPER PIC!
Do you have any problem with your shrimp stealing food from the polyps after you target feed?

I havent had any problems...yet. 3 peppermint, 2 camels and 1 cleaner. I target feed only once a week with a home made blend of everything. The rest of the week I am dosing with zooplankton which it seems to like, Marine snow and Phytoplankton.
I feed it with my pumps off so I shoot the zooplex all over it and let it sit for a few minutes. Seems to like it. If only these things could talk.

There are three LPS that I am fond of:
Frogspawn
micromussa
blastomussa merleti,

Of those three I have a hard time deciding which one is my favorite.

Mine is frogspawn. Mine seems to like low/gentle pulsing flow at the bottom of my tank and the spot I found for it pushes it away from my other corals so, shouldn't go stinging anything. Under the T5's they grow FAST!
