Default help with heliofungia

my long tenticaled plate coral has a section gone off of it. it has been that way for several months but, has not spread until just recently. the skelaten is not white it is a brown color. is it posible that it could be a fungus. if so what do i do.

This sounds like "Brown Jelly" Disease. I hope it recovers.
