Default Ed's new guest Moon & Torch Coral

Well I added two new guest to my tank. I have read up on them ahead of time and think I have it right. But if any of you think I'm messing up in some way let me know. I like to keep my tank guest as happy as possible.

The first is a Torch Coral It is placed a little better then 1/2 way up in the tank with moderate water flow. It about 3" from any other corals. my lighting is T5's 4 watt per gal. this pic is of it 30 min. after going in tank.

The second is a Moon Coral but in my reading it may also be referred to as a closed brain. Believe me I have no idea which is right. In any event I have placed it near 1/2 way up in tank with moderate flow. Pic is 30 min. after going in tank.

Again any advice or criticism will be excepted. I want to keep them happy.

Becky: The Torch worries me the most. From every thing I read about them they can be pretty aggressive. I don't know how much space to give it for sure. I hope 3" is enough. In my little tank space is at a premium. I have wanted a Torch, Hammer,or frogspon sense I started my tank. I like the way they move and there color. This one is purple with neon green ends. I could get you some of the Green Zoanthids but I don't get around very good and don't know how I could get them shipped. I guess I could ask the LFS if he would ship them. He has them in his tank at home and brings them in to the shop as they get to big. I love them they sure add a lot of color.

Nina: That is a Yellow Finger Gorgonian. It is one of the hardest Gorgonian to keep. I would not have got it if I had done research first. It was a spontaneous purchase I seen it and liked it. So far It is feeding and seams to be doing well I gust keep my fingers crossed. I found it really likes the juice off of Frozen Mysis shrimp so I give it to it 3 times a week. On the other days I feed DT's phytoplankton. I just hope I can keep it alive I would really be mad at my self if it would have to suffer from my lack of care. I have said that I wont purchase any thing again with out researching it first now I just have to do it. This is how it looks when I add the Mysis shrimp juice.

Here is a short 24 sec. video of the Torch Coral so you cane see the flow it is in. What do you think? Is this about right? As you can see it has opened up a lot more then it was yesterday. Just click on the pic to start the movie.

I know how to kill a torch. I am not good to ask.

Well I caught my moon coral with it's Tentacles out this morning they were about 2". I should have taken a pic but did not think of it till they where back in. They where real close to some xenia so I move both a little the other way for clearance. Now I need to cache the torch coral.
