i just saw some duncan corals at my LFS. better grab them quick...was told they are closing off alot of the areas in the ocean where it is currently snatched from.

if you dont mind me asking..how much did you pay for that piece you have? i saw some similar pieces for around $45-$55.

That piece is about 15cm high and about 10cm across and as you can see multi-branched.It has about 16 heads growing, about 5 littler ones branching out from under the bigger heads.I paid £40 in the UK for it.
Many people are fragging these because they grow quickly, especially if fed although they grow slower just using the light source but either way are a very easy coral to keep.
The coral is Australian in origin.

Where are you seeing full colonies of duncans for 45-55? Most places Ive seen them at run closer to 50 per head.

i made a mistake. i visited my LFS again, he is selling them for $20 per head. they are from his own personal stash from home. he had about 5 different sized pieces...the smallest was probably 4 heads the others were much larger.

what is the exchange rate from UK to US? i am not hip to the number you put up there.

I went back and checked a couple places I knew had em online too, and id overstated prices, they were 20-30 per head not 50, But a 50 full colony would still be a great buy.
