Default good algae/grass or bad?

hey guys here are two pictures of my tank.the picture with the nice purple bubble coral skeleton is about 6 weeks ago.the picture with the skeleton covered in algae or grass was last night.does this stuff belong or do i need to remove it?

It looks like hiar algae, the tang should eat it, but if you see it spreading quickly you should remove it
