Default Personal opinions on aquarium plants

I have been reading a bit and thought it might be a good idea for everyone to state their own opinion on the different kinds of plants they have in their own aquarium.

I will start...

I have halodule wrightii aka shoal grass and love it. If you decide to buy it, make sure you you have a tank with at least a 4" DSB and another 14-18" of water above that. It is very easy to care for, I have (2) 65w 6700k flood lights over the tank(40g breeder). This grass grows very fast, but grows in cycles. One month it will grow several inches while the next it wont grow at all.

I also have red mangroves, 21 of them to be exact. I bought them from ebay for dirt cheap. I have them under the same conditions as mentioned above. They have grown lots and lots in the past several months. They now all have around 7-8 leaves and on many of them more are coming in. These plants are also very easy to grow and will do fine in a variety of lighting conditions, but in my own personal experience have found 6700k to be best.

i have 3 mangroves, one of them looks like it is dying on me where the roots look like they are starting to decay. but the other two look perfectly fine and healthy.
i also have some chaeto. my yellow and sailfin tang love to eat it so i have built a cover for it to grow in my tank.
here shortly, i will be starting a 10gal planted tank with maybe a fish or two. i'm currently waiting on my skimmer, light and powerhead to come in by the end of the week. i think i'm going to add more chaeto, a lot of mangroves, ulva and still deciding on what else to add.

I have had good success with Ulva sp. till my tang ate it up. I got mine from Sea Life Inc. and it came filled with pods and worms. If I didnt have so much cheato I would buy some more ulva sp.
