| I think tangs are out of the question. They need alot of room to swim around and will eventually get stressed in a 30 gallon. Tang + Stress = Disease = BAD!!lol I do not, however, know about the Angelfish. See if you can find anything about them online. |

| Any Idea what type of Algae this is? I can not find any positive ID of this anywhere on the web. This stuff grows so fast and it is causing me too much work trying to keep up with it. Maybe someone can move it to the ID forum? Thanks and don't forget the time change today if you are in a zone that changes ![]()

| All I know is that it is a pain! I keep removing it and it grows back very fast. ![]() I agree that its leaf structure is similar to cactus, but it has a shape closer to a certain type of elk antlers http://www.crmr.com/qeva/Elk.gif . Being that it is in a 30 gallon tank I can not put a full sized tang in to see if it will eat it. Someone mentioned to me that there may be a smaller type of purple tang that I may try but I have no idea what the exact name is. Thank you for replying and I will continue to try for a positive ID.

| PHAEOPHYTA Algae I actually found more info on Yahoo. Scroll down and look at Dictyota friabilis. It may not be the exact algae, but I am certain we are looking at the same family. |

I believe that is it! You all are awesome. Now I wonder if something like a flame angel would help keep this stuff down to a minimum? Thanks again!
