The lights are being installed as I type and so are a pair of GFCI outlets

I have a feeling I will have to wear sunglasses when I got to look at my seagrass tank lol.

The GFIs are to keep Elliot from "getting a buzz" from his grasses.

The first time your tank zaps you its a Shocking experience, after that its just reVOLTing.

I will try to get soem new pics in a day or 2.

The tank is really full because if its not that full the overflow box doesnt drain enough water. The tank is a little uneven, not sure why. I have measured and remeasured the stand and both sides are equal.

Guess what came today!

Not my seagrass, but my mangroves did! Here are a few pics. The water is cloudy from burrying all the roots into the sand.

I open the package and guess waht comes out.....a misquito! Hopefully I wont catch any sort of disease....

This really is an interesting thread! Is there an acclimation procedure for the mangroves?

I just plopped them in. I have read that you can acclimate them to freshwater or to soil, but never heard anything about acclimation for SW.

not trying to stick ma nose in but isn't the sandsifting star a bad idea? the DSB (from what i've gathered) needs to be undesturbed for the anaerobic layers to form.
