Default Please help me catch this!!!

So when i woke up this morning and walked downstairs to get some water. I happened to notice a black mantis shrimp sitting on one of my rocks. This is a 75gal reef tank by the way. I am currently trying the bottle funnel technique with a piece of raw shrimp as bait. Im not exactly sure which LR piece he lives in and i dont want to do the club soda or high salinty dunks. Anyone have anyyyyyy ideas?? I would be forever greatful if you can help lol

The issue with trying to catch one in a trap is that you need to be watching and ready to pull the trap at an instant's notice. They will be able to break throught the trap in short order. If you do catch your mantis, DO NOT destroy it. I am sure one of us here would love to pay shipping to have it or your LFS may be willing to take it for trade credit.

I found the rock mine lived in and rinsed him out with Vodka. Took a week to trace him down.

I caught a black mantis that was a hitchhicker by using the bottle method. After many attempts, the only thing that worked was straving the tank for a day and alot of patience. But trust me its worth it.
