Default sad sad day

2 of my fish went M.I.A. over the past week and on sunday i found out why. A 1 inch mantis shrimp. My LFS said 1 that size couldn't kill anything but thats the only way i could think of because all my water parimitors are great and my clowns and royal gramma are fine. thats 1 LFS im not going back too.

get a soda bottle clean it peel label so on, Make a hole in the lid big enough for the mighty mantis to fit in, place a piece of cocktail shrimp in the bottle, Place bottle in tank when you turn lights out make sure you tie a string around the neck of bottle so if you get lucky and catch it you can pull it out. 45 min to an hour they say

If your willing to ship there are a couple guys here at RB that will probally pay shipping if you catch it.

GOOD LUCK

Ummm... yeah. Don't go back to that store. Sorry about your loss. Empathy. Sadly enough, we've all lost a fish we loved.

I had an LFS say the same thing to me " You didn't get that from us" I told them the only problem with that statment is I have bought everything in my tank including the tank from you and only you. Following that statement up with.... but NEVER again.

Your LFS cannot be responsible for everything that comes in on the LR we buy. There are methods to rid your LR of any unwanted creatures but needs to be done before setting up the tank.

Sorry for your loss.

I agree with Jim. Like any other hitchhiker, these things happen. It sucks to lose fish, but LR comes with the potential for all sorts of nasties along with the good stuff.
