Default Nano in germany

I am wanting to start a 28 gallon nano tank in the barracks. Im stationed in Vilseck Germany near nuremburg, I need help finding a LFS to stock my tank with live rock and fish and the rest of the goodies necesary. This wont be my first tank but I am lost on where to start here in a new country as far as how to find recorces.

Any help with this from any German or even other US soldiers/aquarists in the area.

28 gal jbj hqi150w is great nano potentially reqiures chiller if room temperature rises above 70. Costly investment, but required to maintain stable temperature below 80. Mine is 6 months and is a nice setup....but costly. Certainly many german aquarists can advise you of questions you may have, chceck online for local retail shops, online stores, and online help can supply you with everything you need.

check to see if your local chain of command will allow a tank in the barracks, first of all.....I found out the hard way when purchasing my first set of drums while in the Army........at any rate, I'm sure there are local resources available to assist you, and you can always obtain your minions thru nline distributrs, but shipping may make that prohibitive....good luck!

This is all pretty cool. Let us know how you make out over there after all Germany is supposed to be the reef equipment hotspot!

TYR,

Have you checked out the online distributors, Foster & Smith, Marine Depot, etc.? You should be able to obtain equipment thru these channels.....also check out similar threads with respect to setting up nano tanks...perhaps someone there may also be able to assist.....Good Luck!
