Wow! Never caught the drift of a new system on the way! Looks awesome already and it is still cycling haha. Beautiful LED fixture as well! Higher wattage ratings on each bulb too, so your PAR will present great readings while consuming only 75 watts.. Is Thortek a global company or just national there? Nice rimless DT you went with too, I see it comes out to around 67 gallons. What do you plan on prodominately stocking it with?

Another nice setup David. Just curious, are those check valves on your split return lines? I was just trying to figure out how you're preventing the back flow to the sump to avoid a flood should the power go out...

I like the fixture, I know you're been running LED for a while now with good results....how much are these things running ($$) in Japan?

ThorTek is still a national brand in Taiwan, but they are recently trying to sell their products to US market. You can try to get contact with them from their website:
Welcome

LPS and zoas will dominate in this new tank while some SPS will also bring to test the feasibility of LED light on the growth and coloration of SPS.

There is a check valve just installed in very front of the return lines (near the output of the return pump!). I will check this ""check valve" every month to remove anything that stuck in it which might possibly cause disablity of the valve. I don't want to see flood someday in my basement! Ha ha~~

As for the price of the LED fixture, I paid $470 USD for this new set in Taiwan. Japan? I don't understand why you mentioned "Japan" in the post!

David, sorry about the Japan/Taiwan mixup. Somewhere along the line in your other tank thread I thought you mentioned you're in Japan...my mistake. The price for the fixture is comprable to T5 fixtures here....too bad we can't get LED fixtures for that price around here (maybe we do and I just don't know about it, if that's the case someone please let me know where).

Never mind! Taiwan and Japan are neighboring nations of close relationship! As for the price of the fixture in US, I have a friend in NY who bought one 36" set about 3 months ago. SHe said that she paid about 110 USD for the fixture shipping from Taiwan to NY. Maybe you can contact them for exact shipping fee. Hope this information helps!

After solving some leakage problem due to the bad plumbing before, here is the second time layout for this tank.
