![]() Wow! Never caught the drift of a new system on the way! Looks awesome already and it is still cycling haha. Beautiful LED fixture as well! Higher wattage ratings on each bulb too, so your PAR will present great readings while consuming only 75 watts.. Is Thortek a global company or just national there? Nice rimless DT you went with too, I see it comes out to around 67 gallons. What do you plan on prodominately stocking it with?

| Another nice setup David. Just curious, are those check valves on your split return lines? I was just trying to figure out how you're preventing the back flow to the sump to avoid a flood should the power go out... I like the fixture, I know you're been running LED for a while now with good results....how much are these things running ($$) in Japan? |

Welcome LPS and zoas will dominate in this new tank while some SPS will also bring to test the feasibility of LED light on the growth and coloration of SPS. Quote:
As for the price of the LED fixture, I paid $470 USD for this new set in Taiwan. Japan? I don't understand why you mentioned "Japan" in the post! Last edited by cozer; 07-14-2009 at 09:07 AM.. |

| David, sorry about the Japan/Taiwan mixup. Somewhere along the line in your other tank thread I thought you mentioned you're in Japan...my mistake. The price for the fixture is comprable to T5 fixtures here....too bad we can't get LED fixtures for that price around here (maybe we do and I just don't know about it, if that's the case someone please let me know where). |
