Default Deepsea Neo Nano

I'm thinking about going with one of these. Any thoughts or reviews from those that own one or have seen one in person? Would it be deep enough for fish if I decided to add them?

I'm not a owner of a Neo Nano.. but a LFS has the same tank running and its a nice looking rimless DT, fairly innovative with the Cascade spillway. The tank is 24"Lx24"Wx16"H and has a maximum water volume of 40g, but that is filled to the brim.. So I would say 35g filled to be safe. You certainly can stock some fish in there too, though it all really depends on the species/compatability, size and number of occupants.. I would not exceed 5" length for fish and if they are mostly larger sizes then no more than 4-5 max. Either way with whatever you decide to go with, we would love to see pictures if you do decide to pull the trigger on the setup..

Thanks for the reply. I'm looking to get my set up this fall and this is on my short list. Other thoughts are Elos Mini and Solana. The mini is very nice but I'm afraid it may be to small. The Solana also looks nice but I like the idea of having the sump. This would be my first reef tank so I want to make a good decision. The size of the Neo would be perfect but I'm not sure what pump and skimmer I should go with. I figure I'll start my research now.

You have a great game plan by researching before purchasing anything, always the smartest route. Out of those three options, I think I would have to go with the Neo as well. The size of the skimmer will depend on the footprint of the sump and its limitations. You can purchase a smaller skimmer with an adjustable pump on it so you do not over skim and deplete the essential trace elements in the water column. Also, you do not have to exceed 500gph on your return pump, though flow preference varies between consumers and hobbyists.. Some like low, calm lagoon flow (250gph) and others like quick chaotic reef crest flow (700gph.) I run 780gph on my 50g Bow with a K4 powerhead, corals and fish love the flow.
