Default 14 & 29 gallon biocube set ups! New!

Hi all!
It's been awhile since I have been on here... I recently down sized from a 75 gal FOWLR to a 29 gal bio cube reef. The tank is now cycled and ready to be stocked. I am looking for advice as far as recommended corals and fishies with the stock lighting. I have purchased a wave maker that should be installed by the end of this week.
I also have a 14 gal bio cube that is housing my maroon clown. I am wanting to add a sebae anemone but seeing how he has never been in one, I'm not sure how that will work. I have read that they can be stung. Are there any other fish that would be safe to add to the biocube? I know that the maroons are some what territorial but the tank is so empty! I tried to attach photos of my beloved clown (I have had him 3 years) and my 29 gal but for whatever reason they wouldn't upload.
Last but not least, my nitrates in my tank are at 20ppm in both tanks. I do not have an RO system yet so I'm wondering if there is anything that I can do. I have changed the water EVERYDAY, and added a nitrate sponge.
Any advice would help! THANKS!
Michelle

I finally got my nitrates down!
I went and bought my first coral. I bought a beautiful orange ricordea polyp (yes just one, waiting for my RO systems before I really invest), two purple mushrooms, a gsp frag and a 3" peach and green brain.
My next purchase will be a red bubble tip for my 14 gal!

Does anyone know how long it takes for the gsp to come out? I have had him for about 48 hours now and he still hasn't come out. I moved his location today to see if he responds to a higher position in the tank....

Hey Michelle, nice pictures of the Nanos! Glad to hear they are both cycling well and running fairly smooth. Sorry I missed this thread when you first posted it, I was away for a week. Make sure the GSP is in a low flow area with moderate lighting and it will eventually open up. I have Zoanthids that will sometimes unlatch from their original groups and free-float in batches to a different locations, then settle in and continue spreading from there. Anyways, keep up the great work! Your doing everything right.

I've seen GSP open up almost instantly and I've also seen it take several week to come out. GSP is a very hardy coral that will survive in less than ideal water quality or lighting. Just be patient and it will open up in due time.

I'm using water testing strips for my 14 gal BioCube that say to add ph minus, but my nitrates are fine. Do I need to adjust that and with what. Also, what should I start with? My crabs ate my coral!

Hi! Sorry it has taken so long for me to reply. I use the small red leg crabs in my tanks. As far as the strips go, I am not familiar with them. I used the chemical test kits (the ones that come with the reagents). I would check your ph with a different type of test, also check your phosphates. Good luck!
