| I used a glass ten gallon tank from walmart for my nano, it was like $8.75 No complaints but I would still like to have an aquapod or something because you can put the heater and stuff in the filter. I have a HOB filter and a berlin airlift 60 protien skimmer ( takes up a bit of space but seems like a better choice than the fission nano skimmer by current usa because of it's size and it's a triple pas, which makes sense) Lighting is something I havent tackled yet, I'm thinking pc would be fine but would Love to have MH and PC actintics but I'm not sure that there will be room ( I think i can make it work). right now it's set up as a FOWLR but I would realy like to have some soft corals in there when i get better lighting. But back to your origional question, it can be done. |

| Here's a good site for buying light bulbs/lights. They are pretty inexpensive. If you're putting up a 10 gallon I recommend a nano fission protetin skimmer (works in up to a 30 gallon tank) and a 100 gph power filter (works in up to 20 gallons). Both are on the site as well. Skimmer about $25, filter about $15. Shipping should be $10. This is a good site for buying equipment/hardware for tank setups. I've bought the nano skimmer, a combo hydrometer/thermometer ($8) and a 10 watt power compact bulb ($8) for my 5 gallon SW and I'm satisfied. I would consider getting the same nano skimmer for my 20 gallon SW too (focusing on 5 gallon first). Aquarium Lighting and Aquarium Lights for Reef and Marine Aquarium Lighting – Drs.
