hey there, i am in no way an expert, only been at this saltwater stuff for maybe 4 months. i have a 29gallon bio-cube and its stuffed full of all kinds of corals and fish. there are some pics floating around somewhere in this forum. lets see... the xenia is really easy, as least for me. it came on this tiny lil stone and after a couple weeks it moved right off it onto a big piece of rock and has been moving ever since. some brain coral would be nice, very low maintenance. that thing gets as big as a human brain sometimes and then shrinks back down to a large golf ball. my yellow polyps were doing good, then i moved the rock and my decorator crab also tore it up, but they are still alive. just got a long tentacle anenome, it seems to be doing great and my maroon clown loves it. i have so much in there its hard to remember it all. here's a pic. ![]()

that's really nice looking, i'll take a couple of pictures of mine in a day or two...i don't really have anything special in my tank except for the star polyps, which my hermit crab sits on top of all day( i dont think he's doing any damage, just picking at the refuge) and my striated frogfish is like my dog at home, ha...that thing is funny. You have a very nice tank - and thanks for the info! -derrick

oh yeah...the clam is really easy to keep. once it finds a spot it likes. you should also get some flame scallops, get an electric one...its fun to look at the red interior light up. frogspawn is good too. or try some torch coral...thats the one on the left..looks like an anenome, another easy one. steve

Bonez... I would get rid of the HOB filter... it could give you nitrate problems in the future. I would go with a 10 gallon or so fuge/sump. It will give you more water in your system, thus, making it more stable and it will be a means for more biological filtration along with a place to put all of your equipment so it is not crowding your display tank. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask becasue there are some very knowledgable people here and everyone is very nice!

Has the Bak Pak 2 skimmer worked at all for you? because I've never really heard anyone having any sucess with it. And for the easiest soft coral to keep would hands down be shrooms in my 55 they cover all most every bit of my 70lbs of rock. Almost daily i pick 10 or more shrooms floatin around on the bottom of the tank and throw them in a ten gallon. I havnt payed for supplies in a while because I trade in all of those hand fulls of shrooms to my LFS for credit.
