Default cooling a nano?

Hello everyone,
I have an oceanic biocube 14.............which turns out to really only be a 10 gallon aquarium after having 3 and 3/4 jugs of distilled water left over after inital fill. Here is my problem, the tank temperature rises too high and it has already been up to 85. This has been without the lights even being on as i have nothing in the tank yet. I need to be able to cool it before I add anything.I have already looked into the ice probe and it needs 3 and 1/4 inch internal clearance and I only have 2 inches in the back sump area.Anyone have any suggestions? I was pondering the current usa nano chiller but then I need a pump and plumbing and so on.

i have a 29gallon bio-cube. the easiest option is to open up the back lid and put a small fan behind the tank so it is blowing thru the hinge holes across the underside of the lid. keeps my tank down in the low 80's. another option but not the prettiest would be to get a tupperware container, fill it with some RO water and freeze it, then drop it in the tank like an icecube. or a chiller. with that probe chiller..dont u have to drill a hole somewhere in the tank to insert the probe?? i was looking at that trying to understand it. i would love a chiller, the fan is noisy. i just cant see spending $300 on a chiller after already spending all that money on the tank, rocks, fish, etc. i need to clean my glass and take some pics now that i pretty much have the tank how i like it.

yes you would have to drill a 1 and 1/4 inch hole I believe was the measurement. It would have been awesome and cost efficient except that you need 3 and 1/4 inch internal clearance and the biocube 14 only has 2 inches inside the sump areas. I was also contemplating the current usa 1/15 nano chiller. I was thinking about using 2 smaller bulkhead fittings.........1 for an inlet and outlet to connect the chiller 2 and it would also require some drilling.

Before you buy a chiller (I haven't really read the posts, just skimmed, so if you did, sorry.) try these quick fixes first:

1. Dial down your heater. Dialing down your heater can bring a consistent temperature of 83°F to 79°F simply by dialing it down 4 - 5°F.

2. Swap out your fans. Stock fans usually are poorly build. Put in some similar IceCap or other well known CPU fans and you'll notice a huge difference. Also, remember to have one fan blowing in while the other blows out. This will give you maximum cooling for your tank.

3. If you've got flat reflectors, try retrofitting in individual reflectors. This allows for maximum air circulation and can often bring your tank's temperature down about 2 - 3°F.
