Default well looks like I'm new to the nano club

Purchasing a aquapod 24 with 70watt sunpod in the next day or two from a local reefer...

Sold my 37 prop tank and now I buy this...

Ahh.... What a hobby

My girl thought they were "cute" for the longest time and I've wanted a rose bubble with true percs for a while now so it looks like now's the time, hehe !!!

Pics to come !!

I'm possibly picking it up today, if not tommorow

I'm kinda excitied like a lil kid with candy, haha !!!

It comes with the sand and 15lbs of live rock, also has two toadstools I was told, should work out well as the rock I have left over from my 37 should fill this thing up nice !!!

I'll be sure to take some pics once I get it here and starting re-filling it up etc...

(was going to get a 180, but my gf talked me into a 120 instead, so we're working on that as well, I'm probably gonna order it next week from the LFS)

Alright !!!

So I picked it up this evening...

Here's some starting pictures

Stay tuned for my progress over the next couple weeks, I have one good advantage, I saved all the water and it came with 15lbs LR, I added a 10LB piece and I have more in a 10 gallon holding tank so NO CYCLE for me which means after she clears up I can get right to it !!!

Empty tank,

Filled up, but VERY cloudy..

Stay Tuned !!!

i have a little advice! i think you should clean the glass of the tank or i could do horrible damamge to you're coral and fish. and if that is live rock then thumbs up for you! tyou really got to clean cause in the back its really dirty too! also you're going to need a special lighting!

I just finished cleaning up the glass properly, It wouldnt cause harm to fish or corals by being dingy like that... It just looks like crud...

No special lighting needed, I have a 70watt metal halide over it

I did find a pin-hole leak in the top right corner, no biggie, I just have to lower the water and dry it out, then use some GE silicone 1 on it and let it cure for 24 hrs before I can fill it back up all the way...

Looks alot better with the glass clean, but its all cloudy again now, I do plan on vacuming the back out as there is alot of detritus back there...

srry i thought it was other stuff but i see now it was just corline algae.you said that you didn't need special lighting metal hades IS a special lighting!

don't worry about the cluding it will go away in a while!
did you let it cycle?

how much was you're metal hades and where did you get it.

I paid $175 for the tank, stand, lighting, came with all the water, sand, and 10lbs of rock, oh yeah and two toadstools and some anthellia

no cycle, maybe a mini-cycle from messing up the sand bed, I saved all the water so the bacteria is there, I saw a bunch of pods swimming around last night, so that was a very positive sign.

I got a small tube of silicone and I plan to fix the minor leak tonight, I am just going to run a bead all around the top just incase, I only want to fix it once

WOW THATS A GREAT DEAL! where did you get it?

i hope you don't have an amonia spike because bacteria isn't carried in the water its carried substrait and the rocks

Well I lowered the water down a couple inchs and ran a quick bead of silicone around the top trim ring, hopefully I fixed the very minor leak that was there

We'll see in 24 hrs when I give it the test

Edit:

Added two snails and 3 hermit crabs from my other tank,
