Default 29 Gal lighting and stocking

I saw the cube vs tank thread.... I'm new to marine and had a 29g empty so that's what I'm going with rather than a cube. Buying new tank=instant death from hubby. What lighting should I put over the tank... I have a twin tube hood. My plan is for a peaceful fish tank... a couple clowns, maybe a royal gramma.... dunno.... what would be good?

I was planning on getting a pair of ocellaris clownfish next week. Once they've settled in I'll add more.... was looking at purple firefish and pajama cardinals. Can a damsel fish work? or will it be too aggressive?

Forget damsels, most are too aggressive. IMO, they shouldn't even be offered for sale - so many end up being taken back. Chromis would be a good one especially the yellow & black stripe variety.

Good to know, thanks! I got a 65W satalite lighting fixture yesterday and am begining to feel a lil queasy.... was I lied to? the guys at the lfs said it was good for soft corals, mushrooms and the anenome I'd like to eventually get. But, since I've (only just argh!) seen where I'd need 130W for all that....

Just called the store and they're going to let me upgrade to the 130W while using the 65 til the other comes in.
