| Thanks for the feedback! Although I have been on-line for years, this is my first attempt at forums and such. And risking sounding all corny,...You all made it a success! If anyone would like to see the snazzy video that got me interested and considering the Red Sea MAX as my choice of nano tank, here is a link. Click on where it says: Red Sea MAX Video Overview. marineandreef.com/ Red Sea Fish pHarm MAX Complete Reef System: MAX Starter Kit Does anyone think I would need to purchase any other equipment to make my first attempt go smoothly? Or is there a better package deal that isn't so pricy with everything included? |

| They have a red sea max display set up locally, I dont care for the silver unit, the black is nice though ![]() very cool all in one unit, one cord plugs in the wall !!! comes with everything you need cept sand/rock/water and corals/fish !!! They are on sale here for $599 plus tax with the stand ! Not bad ![]() |
| ||||
| Yeah, I have been searching on-line to see if I can find one cheaper then $599 + $150 for the stand but I've had no luck. So I started comparing the Aquapod, Nano Cube and Biocubes. But that RSM keeps bringing me back. I have also been researching and learning more about what fish and corals require. I think I rather go with the 34 gallon RSM, then a 24 or 29 gallon. I feel like it is my first car purchase and at first I was willing to buy an economy car and now that I have seen the sporty high performance one my heart is hooked. But either way both cars will get you where you want to go. I have a feeling this may not be the same with building an ecosystem. Would you more experienced drivers, I mean builders, agree? |
| ||||
| I have the RSM in my sights for the very far future. The seem like a nice all in one unit. I am impressed with the amount of light that comes standard as well as a built in protein skimmer. I have to agree with Krazy though about the silver color, too modern for me. I realize the RSM is brand new and am anxious to see how other lab rats, I mean reef builders out there like them (meaning actual hands on experience with commentary, not just a post saying they look cool). |

| it said it only have 1 watt per liter and 1 gallon is 2.78 liters i think. so, thats not a lot of wattage.
