HI,
I am cycling my 12G aquapod. Started with LS and about 15 lbs Lr and base rock.(2 damsels ) Its been 5 days and I have an Ammonia Alert today. Other readings are ph 7.8 KH 12 Nitrite 0.5 Trates 20. Been a long time since I have cycled a tank

Do I let it be OR do a small water change? Have some mushrooms and feater dusters on a piece of LR too. I had an aptasia I Killed too BOILING water in a syringe. then examined for more.. dont see any but watching closely. DAMN!

let it be, it'll go down in a few days and your nitites will go up. a few days after that, the nitrites will go down and the nitrates will go up. then once the nitrates come down, let it be for another week or so with all reading of 0 and then you'll be ready to go!

Ammonia breaks down into nitrites, nitrites break down into nitrates, nitrates need to be removed via water changes..

Once you have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrires, and just nitrates, do a water change, wait another week, test again if 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites still, you should be good to go I believe

your PH should be a little higher 8.1-8.4

Yes, I agree. but since im in a cycle im raising it slowly alsong with the calcium.
