Default electric flame scallop in a nano?

I was just wondering if I could possibly keep a flame scallop in a 14 gallon bio cube.

I dont see a problem with you keeping a electric flame scallop in your tank. I have a 29gal bio cube and i have had one in there for a couple of months and had no problem with it accept for it always getting in to my LR and having to dig it out so we can see the thing. From what i was told by my lfs is that they dont live all that long about a year i was told, dont know if this is true or not but we will see...

Flame scallops are on my list not to get in a tank, because they have a poor survivability rate since they are a filter feeder. I would recommend not to get one.

I have one in my 12 gallon nano but you have to spot feed it with a syringe or a turkey baster.

I have only had it for a week or so.

I put one in my daughters 14 gal cube a couple weeks ago. It and the new carpet anemone didnt seem to work well together in my tank so he went to my daughters cube. Ive had it for about 5 mos now. Whiskersare very long and I think his shell has gotton bigger also.

Great picture ACE!

well, all i know is both my flame scallops are still alive and kicking and i do not have to spot feed them. if something can live 5months + without any special attention in a saltwater tank and is cheap...its worth the money. some people just must have all the luck.

I think I need to clarify myself regarding my last post here. Im not saying a flame scallop is good for a small cube. Sorry if I implied that. I needed to get that scallop out of my 90 gal tank as I had aquired a carpet anemone and the scallop got in it and...OH...bad...resucued scallop but anemone stuck to me and everything else...it was bad...the cursing and yelling. I practically had to get my fins and mask on...Oh...just a really bad half hour. So got the scallop in the small tank till I figure out what to do with him.

I had one in my 47g. Wouldn't stay in one spot, kept going behind the LR, just a pain in my butt since I got it. I eventually forgot about it since it was never in view. When I downgraded my tank I found its shell. It ended up being an $8 snack for my cleanup crew
