Default 7g AGA mini bow build

Im starting a new build.
I have a daughter due in december :] and im starting up a 7 gallon AGA mini-bow for her.

right now i have the tank, im looking for a cheap retro kit, i found a couple but am still perty much shopping around till i find something amazing i must have.

also looking for ideas on a closed loop system, i really dont want to build an external sump/refuge. i might consider modding an ac50 to make a small refuge.

live stock plans:
lime green paly's
golden zoo's
purple finger leather
carpet anenome
2 maroon clowns (maybe)
a sexy shrimp
and some hermits.

pics up tonight of the tank as of day 1 of the build.

Trevor I think a 7 gallon will be fine, just more maintenace. I am assuming that you know all of this. That is what Greg was trying to say.

Anyways where are some pics?

I do apologize. You will get to know my humor Trev...Yes Ryan is correct if i had a tank that small I would have a conciderbal sized sump for more water volume. With only 7 gallons of water if something were to go bad you could loose everything in a half day verses a 3 day period if you had more water. I was suddesting you do a sump even though you werent wanting too...

sorry bro! and yeah i have heard nano's can be a pain, but i love a challenge. I test my tanks daily for a lack of something better to do :] haha. so if there is a problem i hope i can catch it right off the bat and treat it accordingly. Im debating on wether or not to sump it out, ive never done a remote sump before so i guess its more fear of a new concept than actually doing it. But like i said i might run a HOB ac20 modded to be a mini refugium. im using a penquin wisper right now, that is roughly the size of the ac20 but its black, i might just stick some cheato in there for a quick fix.

as for pictures im in the proccess of skimming through the 1300 pictures on my digital.
haha so i should have pics up in an hour or two.

andd last but not least a list of corals and such in there as we speak:
1-purple finger leather (my favorite coral by far)
1- lime green paly colony
1- purple green skirt paly colony
1- lime striped shroom
1- purple tip anenome(holding for a friend, has been sickly, but is lookin very very good in the new tank!)

for those who will ask (most definetly)
i had no need to wait for a cycle in this tank, all the water, lr, sand, corals.
were taken from an already cultured tank, so i quite literally got the tank last night and loaded it up this morning.

waiting on LFS to re-stock banded coral shrimp! i have one of reserve.

I have a 7 gal min-bow as well.

Im running a Fluval 204 canister filter (reduced flow), 2-t5 tubes, 50w heater, fluval 204 canister filter, small lee's skimer. And That's it.
Critter wise:
4 fire shrimp,
10 sexy shrimp,
2 pacific cleaners,
2 coral gobies,
1 red gobie,
1 green stripe gobie,
4 feather dusters,
1 coco worm,
1 well fed harlaquin shrimp,
pigmy angel,
purple fire fish,
4 pistol shrimp,
and a
Gresengers gobie (can't spell)

10 % water change a week,
few mushrooms, blue waving hand coral, few buttom polyups (Sp)

I think it's a little overloaded, but it's worked so far. Really have to watch salinity.

I guess Tonz of fun would have a cow over my 1/2 gal tank. Take a look at it here. I have been running it sense 12/18/07 I change out 1 cup of water every other day from my other tank to keep it up.

hey NAS...how can you fit so much in a tiny 7gallon? my fellow reefbuilders are always sticking it to me for having the bio load i have in my 29gallon...seems like you have more stuff just in your 7gallon. got any pics of it? i still cant believe it.

Here is a recent picture, two feather dusters are hiding. It's the best I could do so far.
