Icon14 Where to put my powerhead...?

I got a powerhead and was wondering where I should place it...? Should it be in the back blowing toward the live rock, and how high or low should it be in the water? One other question is the powerhead came with an air tube and air valve for oxygenation, but the only way for it to work is for the air valve to stick out of the tank, so this means I can't put the unit very low in the water if I want to use this method. It did come with a plug if I don't want this method in which case I could put it as low as I wanted in the tank. Hope that makes sense, so which method should I use...? Any help and suggestions are much appreciated, thanks!

I have a 22 gallon cube shape tank, pic below.

I would experiment a bit, maybe start on the right blowing across the flow from the hang on, that might help to make the flow a bit more random. i wouldnt use the air thing, with all those bubbles you'll have salt creep like you wouldnt believe.

I was told that airstones are not good for your tank and could harm your fish I'm not sure how accurate that is but it would be simalar I think by putting that air hose on. Plus with your new powerhead placed near the top of your tank water movement will oxygenate the water for ya anyway.

Thanks for the tips, gives me a good start. I will take the advice and not use the air bubbles.
