Default my little tank

ok i have a new 3 gallon eclipse tank .. with built in filter and light .. i took some ls from my reef and a piece of lr aswell .. i have put 2 snails and a maroon clown in it ...
whats next .. do i need a skimmer?, do i need to change the light? should i scrap the filter and just get a whisper 1 or something like that ...

i have3 of them. take out the bio wheel and also i add a fuge in the top ill show you how if you like i have left the stock light on it and its done fine

Oh yeah - definitely get a skimmer for that bad boy. One of those nice Deltecs should do the job or maybe an AquaC. Be sure to get one that is rated for at least 50 times the size of your tank.

I recomend a 250 watt mh in 14000k with t-5 vho actinic supplimentation.

Glampka do you mean 50x just for his tank or as a rule of thumb? Cause if I had to apply that I would need a skimmer rated for....3750 gallons lol

Oh yeah the typhoon 5000 series skimmer.Couple them with the tsunami 5000 power head and you will really have something.

Think about it, it is super hard to keep your parameters withing reason with a small tank. Easy to see the signs of a organic buildup...you do not want to be dealing with to much crap. Imagine how much crap a Deltec or an AquaC could pull out of that tank...smooth sailing all the way!

the idea of a 3 gallon tank is to be as compact as possable .. adding a deltec would be hugh

ok so i have not had time to get to my sis place i gave the 3 to her kid so i have done pics of my 12 its the same just littler ill post them a bit later on tonight
