I an using a skilter on my 28 gallon. What is the pros and cons of the skilter.

i am thinking about using the 250 on my 3 gallon and want to know as well. so basicly just ..bump.

Not worth the money. Get yourself a real skimmer like a Deltec, Euro Reef, AquaC, etc....

i know it is not as good as a real skimmer , but what you dont seem to realize is it is a 3 gallon eclipse tank . i am trying to keep it as compact as possible

A skimmer on a 3 gal is simply a waste of good monney. You maintain water quality on that size tank through water changes.
