Ok..I've been told that the nano skimmer suggested by the manufac. is a POS....so, I've also heard that the sapphire is an AWSOME one and can fit into a chamber I already have w/o modifying and hanging stuff over. Any other suggestions???

Don't waste your money on that Fission skimmer - it is junk. Sapphire was making skimmers that fit in the back compartment of cubes. Problem is they have ceased production recently - not sure if or when they'll start back up. Depending on what lights you have, you might take a look at the Tunze or AquaC Nano skimmers.

I've found a place that sells the sapphire....at a bit over 2 mos...is my tank ready? Also, does the skimmer help with PH and nitrates? I've read on other threads that I should take out the bio balls slowly and this skimmer will replace the sponges. Is this an accurate picture of this skimmer?
