| I think it looks very nice and can compete with any of the tanks submitted so far. The one recommendation that I'd have for you is to either get a tank shot from a little higher up looking down so that you can view the corals easier or rearrange your tank so that the corals in the back are either taller or up higher on rocks so that they show up better behind the front corals.

| Your tank is Thriving Ed! Just Do It! I agree with what Brian said and see if you can get a better camera from a friend that will do justice to what you have there it is beautiful tank.

| All but the first 3 pic's where taken with a $19.00 web cam. The first 3 where taken with a $79.00 sansung 6 mega-pixels But I cant find my tripod and I'm not steady enough to hold it for closeups. Maybe I can get some one to find the tripod I know I have one. Actually 2 one is a shorty about 1' with the legs all in.

| Well Paul I really don't know here to start. So I guess I will start with what it is 10 gal tank with 18lb LR 25lb LS. I have a 75w tetra heater and a penguin 125 bio wheel power filter and a home made CC skimmer. I have a 20 gal sump / refugium. The refugium is 10gal with 5" LS DSB 20lb LR and a lot of cheato 75w fluorescent grow light and a 75w compact fluorescent full spectrum ( you know one of those curly bulbs ) and a 100w elite heater. I use a quiet one 1200 for a return pump I'm getting some where around 200 gph from it and have a squid wave maker fastened to it. I change 5 gal water weekly and use oceanic salt. I keep a culture of rotifers and a culture of copepods and I just started a culture of phytoplankton ( getting tired of purchasing DT's } I feed both every 3 days I know I have a good pod population in my refugium as my blue green cromis sets in the return flow and picks them off as they come in on the no food days. I guess that is about it. If I forgot some thing just ask and I will try to answer.

| I would really like to see a just nano competition. All of a sudden, we get a good looking tank in there....and then pogodzib puts his monster tank in there- completely throws off of the competition!

| That is a easy fix. Just ignore the floor the maid has not been in for a while. Also you can see don't purchase a metal stand. What a mess I'm going to have to take it down soon to repaint or replace. ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Ed, nice tank! Enter TOTM. When you take pics, if you turn off the PH's the pics will be better.

| is that bamboo sitting in your sump? bamboo can survive in saltwater? i have a couple stalks of it in a vase behind the couch for looks, and have seen it in freshwater tanks at the LFS but would have never guess you could rest it in a saltwater environment...what are the benefits? steve

| hey, Bradenton. We live in Safety harbor. how did you make your own skimmer?? Are there any clubs in our area? I recently set up another tank. It is the new Current-USA Solana. Anyone got one of these yet? This is the smallest of my saltwater tanks. I am going to keep the fish load down and corals high. It has a 150metal halide over it. I am not going to run a refugium. is anyone having success with nanos without a refugium?? |

| Don't worry Becky, I'm not going to submit my new tank until I get the trim work finish and feel that the tank has been setup long enough and full enough of corals that I would deem it ready. That should be at least another month or two. Who knows, maybe I'll wait much longer.

| Well I really appreciate all the kind complements. I guess I will be jumping in next month. I do find it interesting that out of the people that viewed this post so far 61.82% did not vote. I'm sure some of the viewers where from people coming back which would throw off my numbers. But with 88.24% of you saying do it. I just cant ignore that, any politician in the world would love to get a margin like that. A friend found my tripod for me so I will try to get better pic's like was suggested. As for moving the corals I think I will pass. I have moved them till they told me they where happy being where they are at. And I think happy corals are more important then the ability to see them easily. I can see them all my self and that is what is important to me. I should say that my tank is near 8 months old now but there are no selections between 6 months and 1 year. So in June I will fix my profile.
