isnt that a bicolor blenny? not a goby or is that the same thing? i like the tank. you already have some coralline algae growing on the back....what do you keep your calcium level at? i need to bump mine up i think. is that a bio cube?

yes it is, and yes its a bi-color blenny, the goby was not out, hes inthere but withthe shrimp under the same rock. levels are at about 470ppm, I was jsut using the instant salt i would get formt he store but lately with the addition of more corals i have ahd to supplement calcium and other essitials. Been reading alot about it too its jsut better for the tank to supplement what you can so its more like there natural envirement. Not to much though, but whatever it says on the bottle.

How does that lps and the sebea like it in the 14g biocube? Did u upgrade lighting? I just got one so I'm wondering whether or not I should get a retro kit

those retro kits seem so expensive....especially when you purchase a nano cube or bio cube specifically for the price and what it includes....although..mor e lighting sure would be nice....every now and then i think about just removing the canopy and getting new lighting and leaving it open...then i think.....oh, cant wait till my kids put their fingers in the water or toss some lucky charms in there..or maybe the cat goes scuba diving in there..plus you would get alot more evaporation...but more lighting is always better right?? must be why my poor carpet anenome hangs out at the tippy tippy top of the tank, but he's still looking good.

well yes more lighting is great. i had the sebea in a 65gal with a 250 WH on it and it seemed not to like it as much as when i put him in hte 14 gal, i figured out tht im gettign abotu 3.4 watts/gal which is ok fot eh lps and a lil on the low side for the sebea but hes doing actually better then in the other tank.
No i didnt upgrade the lighting jsut have the stock lights no skimmer as yet b/c it wont fit for some reaason ahve to dremal some out i think but thts it. I add some supplements to the water for insured health but not much more, the lil tank does most of the owrk itself.
I added fish and shrimp and things tht i found work well together which helps with pera. etc., but yah i love this tank.

Ya I knew the lighting was alittle on the short side for the anemone hence me asking. I agree with you Steve my cats would have a field day with an open top tank I'm a big fan of softies so I think I will just stick with them under the stock light.
