I would not recommend a cylinder tank, can you have a rectangle tank?

WELL, THE REASON I AM CONSIDERING A CYLINDER TANK IS BECAUSE IT IS AT THE CORNER WHERE MY DINNING, LIVING AND FOYER MEET. THERE WAS SUPPOSE TO A BIG DECRATIVE COLUMN THERE. BUT THAT COLUMN IS FOR LOOK PURPOSE ONLY AND NOT TO SUPPORT ANY PART OF THE HOUSE, SO I THOUGH IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE FISH TANK THERE. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW BIG I CAN GO, I DON'T WANT TO GET A TANK THAT IS TOO SMALL IN DIAMETER AND I CANT HAVE ANY FISH.

Cylinder aquariums are much harder to maintain/clean/feed and generally more expensive.

You are going about it all wrong! Go to the house and figure out which will be your "fish room"! Tank placement is easy after that!

If you can afford one, a cylinder tank would be very cool. You can stock more fish b/c the just keep swimming round and round. Not to mention being able to see your tank in every angle !

You may want to consider an in wall rectangular tank. They look much better in my opinion than the ones that free stand in the room. Plus if you can find a space to put a nonstructural wall that has a little room behind it for maintence it gets all the maintence uglys (skimmer, change water, test kits, ect...) out of sight.
